Great Time at the Taste Test

Just last Sunday we participated in the Ultimate Taste Test organized by Anton and Rache Diaz of ourawesomeplanet.com at the ground floor function room of Two Serendra.  Unsuspecting of the commotion that was about to happen and newbies as we were, Tita Ces and I went there along with Philip, one of our staff in the store, bringing in about 10 crates of our Brazo Bars, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Mango and Strawberry Shortcakes, Japanese Cheesecakes in three flavors and Molten Chocolate Cakes…and, well, pretty much just that. 

We didn’t even have a fancy table setup or a large signage like the other suppliers as we were too busy making sure the tasted and looked good. In a bit of a panic, we decorated our table with only the tablecloth and the little menu cards we managed to bring.

Even so, the response was overwhelming! Our samples were swarmed at and gone in 60 seconds, so to speak! I didn’t personally see the ratings the guests and food tasters gave us, but we could see in their faces that they loved all the treats we brought without a doubt. In fact some people wanted to buy but we had nothing to sell by the time the program was about to end.

A close friend who was also a friend of Anton’s informed us that we won that day—and we’re glad at the early news!—but we’re still waiting for the official survey results from Anton and his crew. But even if we won or not, we sure had a blast that day. It was honestly our first bazaar experience, not to mention a taste test experience with food critics all about, and boy was it exciting! Many thanks to Anton, Rache, Ivan and all those who made the event possible, to Jennifer Uy-Wong who introduced our product to Anton and  was even there at the venue, supporting us and making us feel welcome.
